jbperry | We still need to find someone willing to do some editing, since giulioprisco isn't doing that anymore | 15:26:59 |
5 Jun 2019 |
cagonzalez8 | Who's giulioprisco?? And jbperry would you like the articles specifically pertaining to Coral or anything in STEM in general? | 12:05:55 |
cagonzalez8 | *pertain | 12:06:18 |
jbperry | Giulio Prisco was the editor of maximum jailbreak back in January. Suzi tells me that he shot down a bunch of article ideas and then left.
I’m thinking anything related to astronomy or space technology would work. I’m planning on doing an in-depth look at the fermi paradox from the perspective of deductive reasoning. (You can see from the success of youtubers like Isaac Arthur and John Michael Godier that there is a fairly large appetite for this kind of content.) | 13:56:06 |
outbound | I'll brainstorm some topics and get back to you. | 14:05:40 |

jbperry | suzi.bianco: sorry, I guess I misinterpreted | 20:10:41 |

cagonzalez8 | Lol either the Fermi paradox has indeed been blowing up on my youtube feed | 22:23:54 |
cagonzalez8 | I'm down with the topic. Will there be malasadas? | 22:24:22 |
cagonzalez8 | On another, I have 2 leads on high school students open to the idea of becoming our Social Media PR rep, and Admin assistant | 22:27:04 |

sean | In reply to @cagonzalez8:matrix.org On another, I have 2 leads on high school students open to the idea of becoming our Social Media PR rep, and Admin assistant Nice! We should probably get on that at some point to solicit a PM for coral | 17:29:04 |

jbperry | So, I’ve finished the first part of my Fermi paradox series for maximum jailbreak. Like here:

jbperry | (I meant to say link here) | 23:12:15 |
jbperry | Since no one has volunteered to be editor, maybe we could work out some kind of peer editing system? | 23:27:50 |

outbound | I think that's what we'll need to do. | 02:07:06 |
yalda | Hey @all long time no talk! Have been so deep in the software development and trying to meet deadlines that I have not had the mental bandwidth to participate in the community. I’d like to change that and finally start dedicating weekend time to Space Decentral! I’ll try to start with taking on the editing role here. I’d also like to have more regular meetings. I’ve moved to Berlin, so USA nights don’t work. How about we get some regular Saturday or Sunday morning/afternoon US meeting on the calendar? | 06:36:06 |
yalda | Redacted or Malformed Event | 06:36:25 |
jbperry | I can gaurentee that I'll be up by 8am (central time US), but that is probably still too early for people on pacific time. | 12:26:00 |
16 Jun 2019 |
yalda | @room Here is a doodle poll to determine a time for a biweekly Space Decentral sync (every other weekend): https://doodle.com/poll/sqrbu2c44nay5bci | 16:28:24 |

cagonzalez8 | Killer. Thx Yalda | 02:37:25 |
| yoan_st changed their display name from yoanst to yoan_st. | 16:12:47 |
19 Jun 2019 |
cagonzalez8 | I'll try to make it. On Hawaii time here so it'll be a bit challenging,
Hey @all long time no talk! Have been so.....

tmallard | jbperry Found this hot item for lasering lunar soil, Photonics Spectra, june, The Laser Issue, 1960-2018, pp 78-83, on optical coatings using oxides available any landing sight.
With anhydrous glass that sounds like quality "moon glass" worth enough to demo as a project with solid a revenue stream for stakeholders, ymmv. | 21:03:29 |
jbperry | looks interesting, but I'm not on the Coral team so I'm the wrong person to go to with something like this | 21:50:54 |
tmallard | Redacted or Malformed Event | 23:14:48 |
tmallard | Apology jbperry, it was supposed to be jamesgarry, didn't catch it. | 23:16:48 |
20 Jun 2019 |
yalda | So it looks like Sunday at 12pm Pacific was the winning time -- starting this weekend? Send me a message with your email and I can add to calendar invite that i'll send out tomorrow. jbperry i'm going to take a look at your article on Saturday. | 20:35:39 |

yalda | I created the Space Decentral Community Sync as an event facebook since it will be easier to invite people to the event and share it on socials: https://www.facebook.com/events/566247180448578/ - i also had to alter the timeline a little where it happens this weekend and next weekend, and then it's every other week. This is due to some scheduling conflicts, and it will probably good to have two meetings in a row as we hash out the strategies. | 15:37:35 |
